School Talks

We currently have five volunteers in our branch who have been trained to give free educational and safety talks to local schools.

We are happy to talk to any age group from infant to A level students and our talks are designed to fit with wider curriculum and extra-curricula activities such as swimming, water safety, school trips and adventure holidays, water sports and PSHCE.

Last year our volunteers spoke to about 18,000 children in local schools and youth clubs, many of them at the very popular and effective Junior Citizen events arranged by local councils for 10 year olds in their last year at Junior School.

These talks are absolutely free.

We can bring our own laptop, projector, speakers and screen or can plug into any facilities you may have.

If you would like a talk for your school, please ask your teacher to contact our Branch Secretary David Richmond-Coggan by filling out the contact form below.
